Given the exponential growth of the Web, is its energy consumption sustainable? Beyond improvements in hardware, another solution is to design new kind of software that effectively reduce softwaste, that is waste in memory usage and processing cycles. The goal of this project is to investigate the client-side of the problem by providing a new add-on for Firefox, to track and reduce softwaste when either navigating or building websites.
